Arab Caucus of The North Carolina Democratic Party

On January 6, 2024, over 30 members of the Arab and allied community gathered at the Muslim Community Center in Charlotte, NC to help form an Arab Caucus that will be affiliated with the North Carolina Democratic Party. After long discussion over the pros and cons of forming a caucus, the meeting was recessed and scheduled to reconvene on January 20, 2024 to approve the bylaws and elect officers. 

On January 20, 2024, the caucus reconvened the meeting from recess at a meeting of over 30 Democrats to approve the bylaws unanimously. Subsequently, members were enrolled into the caucus and a full slate of officers were elected to complete organizing the caucus.

The bylaws have now been submitted to the NCDP Chair, Anderson Clayton, and the Affiliate Organizations Committee for review and recommendation for approval.
